New Year New You. But Is This True?

It's a new year, a new season. A chance to start afresh on a clean slate.
For many people, the end of the year and the beginning of a new one, is a period of rest, reflection and resolutions.
For most, those resolutions do not make it past the first month of the year.
I should know. I've been there, many times.
I have also had many resolutions that lasted for me throughout a year.
What was the difference in both cases? Habits. Not just Goals.
Let me share a simple example below from my 2023:
Goal: Get fitter and healthier.
Habit: Walk at least 8,000 steps daily.
Results:
I averaged over 10k steps daily for the year
I lost over 6 kg
I can lift more weights
I can now walk/run farther without tiring
I have lower blood pressure
I look better in clothes
I receive more compliments
What You Can Learn
The secret to achieving goals is simply to figure out the repeatable habits you must execute to achieve them.
Then, once you have figured out the habits, forget about the goal and focus fully on those habits.
Define how often you need to do those habits and consistently do them. This right here, is the key.
